This novel is narrated by Kristi Carmichael who tells the story in first person, it is obvious because she keeps on telling the reader her life day by day, and it just starts becoming really interesting to meet her and her thoughts. I think that Kristi's point of view in the situation changes the work because she keeps on saying she doesn't care about what others think but she really does in the inside, and if she wouldn't care she wouldn't get so affected.

Vibes is about Kristi Carmichael, a high school girl, who believes she’s a physic. In the beginning, Kristi starts off as an extremely angry girl. She tries to disconnect herself from other students by dressing in homemade clothes and wearing heavy makeup. She builds a wall around herself because of the insults brought by her classmates. Like any other teenage girl, she puts herself down and thinks she’s ugly.

Simile: “Alarm clocks were invented by fork-tongued devils disguised as gremlins wearing snake masks.”

She is comparing the fork-tongued devils disguised to gremlins wearing snake masks.

Personification: ''Doesn't anyone understand that beautiful people are stupid? That's why nature made them beautiful, so they'd have a chance at surviving in the wild. And how do they survive? They use people and then they drop people, and they float away on the currents of their own gorgeousness to the next poor girl who thinks that being friends with a beutiful person will somehow make her beautiful, too. I've got news for you: Hanging around beautiful people just makes you uglier by comparison.”

She is using a metaphor because she is saying that nature created people beautiful just for them to survive, but nature isn't involved in that.

Despite the humour, though, this novel has serious things to say about self‐image, and about being a good friend, family member and team player. It’s a book in which  ‘vibe’ is that we need to be kind to others and to try and see things from another point of view. Kristi thinks she reads minds, but finds that she’s actually been channelling her own feelings all along.

This novel is largely set in an unnamed town in the United, but it's almost always based in the school, where almost everyone except Gusty, judge her about her body.

Kristi Carmichael: 
Her attitude and her mind-reading abilities, Kristi has a vulnerable side. She can hear the thoughts of the students calling her fat and gross. She's hot for Gusty Peterson, one of the most popular guys in school, but of course, she's sure he thinks she is disgusting. And she's still mad at her father, who walked out on them two years ago.

The principle characters of the book Vibes is, Kristi that is the major principle of the book, her friend Jacob that is always there for here, and Gusty Peterson, one of the most popular guys in her school. 

I choose the book vibes, because i find it interesting. I read the back and i think that is good, because it talks about a girl in our age, and i like reading book for teenagers. My friend told me that it was a really good book, so i decided to start reading it.
